  • Switched - Calls originate and terminate over the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
  • Dedicated - Calls originate over the PSTN but are terminated to a dedicated facility (T-1 or T-3) at your end-users premises anywhere we have a U.S. network center (POP).

Call Routing Options

We offer a variety of call routing options to better service your needs and route your toll-free traffic more efficiently:

  • Carrier Allocation - Allows toll-free calls to be processed by multiple interexchange carriers, based on a percentage of total calls.
  • Origin of Call - Allows subscribers to set up screening and routing of calls based on the call's point of origin (the calling party's ID). Calls can be screened by three, six or 10 digits.
  • Call Referral Recording - Lets you play a prerecorded announcement to the caller and route the call to a new number. Options include an announcement before routing the call, routing the call with no preceding announcement, or using a stand-alone announcement.
  • Percent Allocation - Routes a specific toll-free number to one of a number of destinations with a predefined, fixed percentage of calls going to each.
  • Time Dependent - Routes incoming calls to alternate, predetermined locations at specific times of the day, week or year, as well as on specific holidays.
  • Menu - Guides calling parties through a list of predefined menu options.
  • Extension - Prompts the calling party for a one- to 15-digit extension number, checking the number against a list of valid extensions before the call is completed.

  • Unvalidated Account Codes - Prompts the calling party to enter a two- to 12-digit code, allowing the call to be tracked for service usage.
  • Authorization Codes - Allows subscribers to restrict usage of their toll-free service. The caller is prompted to enter a two- to 12-digit code, which is verified to either complete the call or restrict unauthorized use.
